Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (AKA CHIPP™)
AKA CHIPP™ provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities and is targeted to be Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood hunger program to date.
The Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP) program hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Nu Psi Omega chapter is designed to offer a supply of meals and snacks, free of charge, for students enrolled at the school over the weekends and/or extended breaks. Each week, a bag with non-perishable food items will be
delivered to the school containing food for two breakfasts, two lunches, two snacks, and one can of vegetables and one can of fruit.
Though the program is intended to help those children whose families find it difficult to have access to enough food for the entire month, all children are eligible for this program.
The program is run completely by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority volunteers who will partner with your school to pack and distribute food bags weekly.
